About the School of Arts, Performance, & the Humanities
The MJC School of Arts, Performance, & the Humanities serves the surrounding community by providing quality performing and visual arts experiences for audiences both young and experienced. The Art Gallery presents a variety of shows each year focused on student, faculty and community work.
An outstanding community orchestra and band provide free and low cost concerts for students and area music lovers. The Theatre and Dance Department produces seven events each year including comedies, dramas and modern, jazz and hip-hop dance concerts.
The School of Arts partners with on and off campus organizations to produce an annual calendar of special events including international music ensembles, guest lecturers, political commentators and solo artists.
